The Origami club

Nishibashi Koukou 's Origami club presents the association foldning.dk

Origami, an art embedded in Japanese culture. The word origami means paper folding which can become anything: charming animals and flowers, utility art, design, modern technology. It combines both halfs of your brain, challenges both motor skills and intellect. It is meditative. It is joy. But first and foremost it's fun!

Come and experience a thousand cranes, a three-meter snake, whimsical patterns, balls exploding into clouds of butterflies, and much more. Discover the art of paper folding and watch us make giant paper stars.

Workshop Friday 16-19, Saturday and Sunday 10-17:
Try to, under expert guidance, fold ninja throwing stars, birds, flowers, trick-rings and much more you never knew paper could turn into between your own fingers.

Contests Saturday:
- Fold darts and shoot at a target. Winners will be announced late in the afternoon. Origami books and papers are handed out to the winners.

- Sumo Tournament twice Saturday. Sumo is an archetypal example of the Japanese combination of ceremony and martial arts. Here you get the opportunity to fold your own Japanese sumo wrestler and let him fight your friends. From 3-15 participants. The winner will have the honor and a pack of origami paper.
